Failure to Attempt CPR

In a report from MDH Multicultural Care Center when they failed to provide supervision which resulted in the resident using drugs. The staff found the resident deceased in his room.

Multicultural Care Center Substantiated Neglect

The report continues that neglect was substantiated. The facility and the alleged perpetrators (AP1 and AP2) were responsible for the maltreatment. The facility and AP1 failed to ensure the resident received person centered, individualized care based on his medical needs. Additionally, AP1 changed the physicians’ order for Suboxone (a medication to treat opioid addiction) without orders from a physician to do so. AP2 failed to provide care services and observe the resident for over ten hours prior to finding him deceased.

In conclusion, the Minnesota Department of Health determined was substantiated.
