Theft From Four Residents at Visiting Angels Burnsville

In two different reports from the Minnesota Department of Health concerning MDH report, MDH regarding home care provider it is alleged that four clients were financially exploited when the alleged perpetrator (AP) took the client’s money, jewelry, and credit cards for his/her own personal use.

Jewelry, Cash and Credit Cards Taken From Residents

Based on a preponderance of evidence, financial exploitation did occur when the AP stole #1’s pearl earrings and two necklaces: $120.00 from client #2; two yellow gold necklaces and yellow gold earrings from client #3 and two pearl necklaces, three rings, an unknown amount of turquoise jewlry from client #4 and took client #4’s credit card and made purchases totaling $271.96.

According to client #1’s service agreement and care plan, the client received services in his her home from the comprehensive home care provider for activities of daily living, housekeeping, standby by transfer assistance, medication administration, and meals.  According to client #2’s service agreement and care plan, the client received services in his/her home from the comprehensive home care provider for activities of daily living, housekeeping, standby and transfer assistance, medication reminders and meals. According to client #4’s service agreement and care plan, the client received services in his/her home from the comprehensive home care provider for activities of daily living, housekeeping, standby by transfer assistance and meals.
