
MDH Cites Tamarack Court Client Suffers Fractured Tibia
In a report from the Minnesota Department of Health it is alleged that a client at Tamarack Court in Bemidji was neglected when the client fell to the floor while transferring with unknown staff. The client sustained a tibia fracture and needed an emergency room visit.
Failure to Properly Transfer Client Leads to Broken Leg
Neglect was substantiated. The facility failed to implement correct transfers for the client, causing the client to fall. The client sustained a tiba fracture.
Two staff members used a gait belt to assist the client from the recliner to a standing position. The client’s knee buckled, and he fell to the floor.
