The article quoted Extendicare’s president and CEO cites the “worsening litigation environment and the lack of any likelihood of tort reform in the state of Kentucky” as the explanation for their decision. The company plans to lease their 21 Skilled Nursing Facilities to an undisclosed Texas organization.
