Community Addiction Rec St Peter Complaint Findings for Violation of Patient Rights
In a report concluded on May 2, 2013, the Minnesota Department of Health cites Community Addiction Rec St Peter for patient rights nursing care.
It is alleged that state licensing statutes and rules were not being followed when client’s rights were violated in relation to some clients not receiving appropriate health care and administration not being responsive to client’s grievances. In addition, client’s safety was compromised due to inadequate supervision by staff during medication administration.
Substantiated Complaint of Patient Rights Violation Against Community Addiction Rec St Peter
A preponderance of evidence that client’s rights were violated when they were not provided appropriate care in a timely manner and grievances were not addressed and resolved in a timely manner is substantiated.
Several staff stated that many grievances were lost, and many clients were not receiving a resolution to their grievance.
