Angels Care Center Cannon Falls Fractured Hip
A MDH Complaint concluded on January 16, 2015, reports that Angels Care Center Cannon Falls had substantiated neglect for health care. The allegation was that neglect occurred when staff failed to provide the resident with Coumadin for three weeks resulting in several blot clots, which required three surgeries. In addition, the resident fell which resulted in a hip fracture. The resident also had a history of urinary tract infections and staff failed to adequately change the resident’s catheter in a timely manner.
Angels Care Center Cannon Falls Complaint Findings for Neglect of Health Care – Fracture of Hip
In a report concluded on September 30, 2014, there was a fiding of neglect of health care substantiated for allegations that neglect occurred when a resident was not provided with adequate interventions to prevent falls, a timely medical evaluation after a fall, adequate pain management and adequate assistance with eating.
