Allegation of Abuse and Exploitation by Staff at Alliance Health Services, Inc.
It was alleged that a client was financially exploited when the alleged perpetrator from Alliance Health Services took the client’s spouse’s jewelry.
In a Minnesota Department of Health report dated July 18, 2016, Alliance health Services Inc. was cited with abuse after it was alleged that the client was financially exploited when the alleged perpetrator took the clients spouses jewelry the substantiated complaint was based on a preponderance of the evidence that financial exploitation occurred with the alleged perpetrator took jewelry from the clients home on two occasions and sell the jewelry to a pawnshop be appraised value of the items for $6793.00. The client had received services from the home health agency since May 2015 the services included a home health aide five days a week for help with bathing and personal care services and supervision from an RN every 60 days the AP was assigned to work with the client since admission to the agency the AP provided services in the home several days a week until January 2016.

Based on a preponderance of the evidence the allegation of exploitation did occur when the AP took jewelry from the client’s home on two occasions and sold the jewelry to a pawn shop.
