Emotional Abuse of Resident at Salmi Homes Eveleth Minnesota

Salmi Homes Eveleth Complaint Findings for Neglect

In a report concluded on December 20, 2012, the Minnesota Department of Health cites Salmi Homes Eveleth for neglect of health care.

The allegation is neglect based on the following: a client was not sent to the hospital for a medical evaluation after a fall in a timely manner.

In addition, it is alleged that neglect occurred when the AP attempted to withhold food from another client (C2) until the client took her/his medications.

Salmi Homes Eveleth Complaint Findings for Emotional Abuse

In a report concluded on December 20, 2013, the Minnesota Department of Health cites Salmi Homes Eveleth for emotional abuse by staff.

It is alleged that abuse occurred when a client (C1) was refused care by a nursing assistant/alleged perpetrator (AP) in a manner that made the client fearful through the rest of the night shift that the AP would return to her room.
