Quality of Care Issues Place Crestview Lutheran Home on List of Special Focus Facilities

Crest View Lutheran Home in Columbia Heights is added to CMS Medicare Special Focus Facilities SFF Program.  SFF a list of nursing homes that (a) have had a history of serious quality issues and (b) are included in a special program to stimulate improvements in their quality of care. Please take a minute to review this background information on our “Special Focus Facility” initiative. The government visits nursing home and performs surveys to determine the quality of care provided by the facility. CMS is looking for a pattern of serious quality of care problems that have persisted over a long period of time.
