The above chart shows the amount of nursing home income spending by source as of 1998. The chart was from an article in AARP, citing HCFA, Office of the Actuary, National Health Statistics Group, 2000.

Requirements Nursing Home Income

According to ehow.com, Medicaid is a program run by federal and state governments. It assists those with limited income to receive care in a nursing home or rehabilitation facility.  Each state has its own income limits. Financial hardship is required, along with other criteria the states have in common, such as: age, disability and vision deficiencies.
