Lake Country Home Care New York Mills Complaint Findings for Exploitation

It is alleged that financial exploitation occurred when the alleged perpetrator took a client’s debit card without permission and made several transactions.

Substantiated Complaint of Financial Exploitation Against Lake Country Home Care

Based on a preponderance of the evidence financial exploitation is substantiated.  The AP used the client’s debit card without the client’s permission and for the AP’s own use.  The AP used the client’s debit card for eight separate purchases at three separate locations on four different dates.  Five of the purchases were recorded on a store video camera.

Interview with the management staff established the AP did not admit or deny using the client’s debit card without the client’s authorization but said she was having difficulty paying her bills and needed money.  The AP was immediately terminated from employment.
