Keystone Bluffs Assisted Living Duluth Complaint Findings for Exploitation

In a report concluded on July 11, 2014, the Minnesota Department of Health cites Keystone Bluffs Assisted Living Duluth for exploitation by staff – theft of jewelry.

It is alleged that clients were financially exploited when an employee, alleged perpetrator (AP) took money and jewelry from clients without permission.

Substantiated Allegation of Financial Exploitation Against Keystone Bluffs Assisted Living Duluth

Based on a preponderance of the evidence financial exploitation is substantiated.  The alleged perpetrator (AP) volunteered information that s/he had taken money and jewelry from five clients that resided at the facility without their permission.

The facility was contacted by the Common Entry Point and informed the AP volunteering information that s/he had taken money and jewelry from five client while working as nursing assistant in facility.  None of the clients  or client’s family had reported missing money or jewelry to the facility.
