Home Care Assistance of Minneapolis Complaint Findings for Exploitation

In a report concluded on March 20, 2014, the Minnesota Department of Health cites Home Care Assistance of Minneapolis/St. Louis Park for exploitation by staff – theft of jewelry.

It is alleged that financial exploitation occurred when a staff, alleged perpetrator (AP) took and pawned a client’s jewelry without permission.

Substantiated Allegation of Financial Exploitation at Home Care Assistance of Minneapolis

The preponderance of evidence established that financial exploitation did occur when the AP took 17 pieces of jewelry valued at $8,640.00 over a period of four months that belonged to the client without the client’s permission.
